FAMILIES TESTIMONIES

When families return home after this
vacation, they carry tender moments, smiles and warm memories
to be treasured for years to come. The kindness of the many
supports of BEYOND THE MOON touches young lives, whose time
is so precious. Letter after letter, families attest the
extremely positive influence such a vacation has on their
lives; parents sometimes believe this experience prolonged
their child's life. However, it has also happened that several
of our sick children passed away a few days or weeks after
their vacation.
SOME EXTRACTS
from family letters:
"We experienced countless
beautiful moments together with our children. Moments we
will never forget." Family V., Germany
"This was certainly the most
wonderful time our family has experienced in many years.
Natalie was treated beyond what royalty would have been
treated like. She will always have fond memories of this
time. Words cannot describe this experience well enough.
Although words like, outstanding, amazing, second-to-none
all come to mind. I have three children and Natalie is my
youngest. When Natalie was in the hospital on so many occasions,
my other two always seemed lost. This was not only a difficult
time for Natalie, but also for her brother and sister. To
have given them this time together as a family was important
and it made Natalie feel like she was giving us something
special just from her. Thank you a million times over!"
Family F., United Kingdom
"One big thanks for this unique
experience, for that little piece of Heaven on Earth that
we witnessed thanks to your association." Family
L., Belgium
"All the stress and heartache
we had been under in the previous weeks began to loosen
its grip on us as we graciously received what felt like
one giant hug from complete strangers. There was not one
little detail that went unnoticed or unappreciated. We did
not appear to be a family with a terminally ill child. We
flew home Sunday night, 19 September. Fifteen minutes after
pulling in our driveway, Kelly had a severe headache. Her
very first symptom of the recurring tumours. During the
night, she lapsed into a coma and died the following afternoon."
