COMMUNITY RELATIONS VERSUS SPONSORSHIP

Community Relations is defined as support to Beyond the Moon, or one of our actions, without direct impact on the company, i.e. without the donor or company name being visible and indicated. A company that embraces the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) believes it is important to take part in the life and the well-being of the community in which it operates.


Sponsorship by making a financial contribution to Beyond the Moon is a form of advertising with a commercial value for the company, namely the promotion of its products or services, enhancing its image and visibility or its brand, through the reference of the name and/or logo of the sponsor. When the sponsorship of a non-profit or charitable event is involved, it is referred to as event marketing or cause marketing.

GIFT CERTIFICATE

The 'BEYOND THE MOON GIFT' certificate is a heart-warming alternative for companies willing to donate part of their marketing budget to Beyond the Moon.

Companies often decide to donate the annual budget for year-end cards or gifts, staff parties, incentives or works council lunches, etc to our charity.

Upon receipt of the donation, we thank the company by sending a special certificate!

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN

'Change for Children' is a Beyond the Moon fundraising programme that consists of a collection box and donation envelopes to collect worldwide coins and notes.

'Change for Chilcren' is very simple and easy to implement, it can run throughout the entire year, it requires no time or effort and is self-generating.  Beyond the Moon handles the logistics: the money is collected, sorted, counted and the total amount is converted into EUR and then transferred directly to the Beyond the Moon bank account. We inform you of the funds collected via reports.

FUNDRAISING AND TEAM BUILDING

Staff, members or students and their parents have much respect for companies (employers), clubs and schools that embrace the concept of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Organisations and companies that voluntarily adhere to the concept of corporate social responsibility improve their image, the motivation of their employees, members and students, and foster team spirit, which is essential for long-term success. Encourage and motivate creativity, enthusiasm and volunteering in favour of our charity from your staff or members, or students and their teachers. Let us know if you need advice and promotional material.

Some successful team building actions to raise funds are among others:

  • a sponsored walk
  • a marathon action: aerobics, swim, run
  • a golf tournament
  • a Christmas market or breakfast at work
  • a car wash
  • a visit at the movies, theatre or a concert
  • a dance party or gala evening
  • a BBQ (holiday atmosphere)
  • an avant-première at the movies
  • the sale of Beyond the Moon year-end cards
  • a karaoke or quiz evening
  • etc.

No matter the action, it is important to communicate well and to meet the legal requirements applicable in your region or country.

In-kind support

Offer us material, tools and services free of charge (or at low cost) to optimise our daily operations or for a Beyond the Moon happening or event. Thanks to in-kind support, we reduce our costs and use our funds and energy more efficiently to achieve our goals.

Our current needs:

  • sponsor of phone charges
  • give-away gadgets imprinted with our logo to be sold or distributed
  • translations of short news items for our website (ENG and FRA)

CO-BRANDING, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION

Together we can create a win-win-win partnership with a targeted (product related) promotion to your customers. This experience is often rewarding and inspiring. It will arouse brand loyalty and bring business for you at the same time as enhancing your image, while generating funds for Beyond the Moon.

Some fruitful examples are:

  • Autogrill Belgium en Autogrill The Nederlands: They display our collection boxes in their restaurants, make free publicity for Beyond the Moon on table placemats and stands and give away our Beyond the Moon colouring book as gadget with the kids menu.  
  • C&A Belgium/Luxemburg: In December 2010 and December 2011, they sold a stuffed animal to generate funds for Beyond the Moon.
  • Schoenen Torfs: (Belgium only) Customers can decline a carry-on paper bag in the suburban Torfs shoe shops.  Per bag declined, Schoenen Torfs donates € 0,15 to two charities, one of them being Beyond the Moon.
  • Wyndham Rewards: Members of this loyalty programme of the Wyndham Hotel Group hotel chain, can redeem their points (exchanged into EURO) in favour of Beyond the Moon.

Campaigns can be coupled with one of our sector related Beyond the Moon logos. We have various logos available. For example:
