Exploring the scenic landscapes around Center Parcs Longford Forest in Ireland became a newfound family adventure for 6-year-old Rory. Riding a special cargo bike added extra joy to their experience, creating cherished memories they had never shared before.
“We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our holiday at Center Parcs and have experienced so many firsts as a family. We did all kinds of activities and enjoyed quality time in a safe, comfortable environment. The six bicycle helmets and an accessible bike meant a lot to us, as a family. We have spent a lot of time on the bikes, exploring the region together. We experienced this activity together; it was something we had never done before, and it gave everyone so much pleasure. Rory had to laugh so much as I cycled around with him. It was a huge asset not to always have to transfer him from his wheelchair to the bike, because his bike chair could be detached. This was a relaxing holiday and allowed us to just take each day as it came, with no huge pressure working around our son’s regimes and routines. However, we do wish we had chosen to take a nurse with us, to allow me to sleep at night as it had a huge impact on me during the day. But, at the same time being together in this environment meant so much and the wide range of activities were very good. The staff were amazing with all our children and really played a huge role in our stay being so enjoyable.”
