Former multiple world cyclocross champion and current entrepreneur Niels Albert & his wife Valeska Van den Broecke have been the loving and proud Godfather and Godmother of Beyond the Moon since June 2024.
“It was a moving moment when we became more closely acquainted with the inspiring work of the non-profit organization Beyond the Moon. Their story is sincere and their approach is transparent, which touched us deeply. I find it important to spend time with my family, and I recognize that focus on quality time with the family in what Beyond the Moon does. Located just a stone’s throw from our Niels Albert Bike Store, we felt an immediate connection with this wonderful charity,” says Niels.
“Every child deserves the chance to shine and experience the joy of life, no matter the circumstances.”
“Because we are blessed with a wonderful daughter, Alexine, who is healthy and well, we realize all the more how privileged we are,” Valeska continued. “We realize that not all families have this luxury. For families with a sick child, a vacation is not a given, especially amidst the many challenges, high medical costs, and worries.”
“We are determined to commit ourselves to helping spread their mission and increasing awareness of the difficulties these families face daily. We believe in the power of solidarity and would like to do our part where we can, both through personal actions and with the help of our own business network and our customers. This noble cause deserves more support, and we hope that many, together with us, will help realize this. Together with Beyond the Moon, we want to bring hope, energy, and joy to families who need it so badly.
